We started this company because of a bad contractor.
Years ago, my wife and I hired someone to remodel our home. It didn't go well. We ended up in a financial bind, the work was left unfinished, and we had no good options. So we did the only thing we could — we finished it ourselves. The whole house. Kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, deck, garage.
When it was done, something clicked. We knew what it felt like to be let down by someone you trusted with your home. And we knew we could do better.
That's why 1st Addition exists.
Every family that hires us is putting real trust in us — their home, their money, their time. We don't take that lightly. We show up, we communicate, and we do what we say we're going to do. Not because it's good for business. Because it's the right thing to do.

Initial Conversation
We begin with a detailed conversation about your goals, your space, and how you plan to use it. This helps ensure we’re aligned and allows us to provide clear guidance on scope, expectations, and budget.
Design & Planning
If you already have a vision, we’ll help refine it. If not, we’ll work with you to develop a design that fits your home and lifestyle. All details are reviewed and confirmed before moving forward.
Pre-Construction
Once the plan is finalized, we handle scheduling, permitting, and preparation so everything is ready before work begins. You’ll know what to expect ahead of time.
Construction
Your project is built with hands-on oversight, consistent communication, and attention to detail throughout the build. We keep the site organized and provide updates as the work progresses.
Final Walkthrough & Completion
When the project is complete, we walk everything with you to make sure it meets expectations. We review care information, warranties, and answer any final questions before closing out the project.

What areas do you serve?

We’re based in Kunkletown, PA and primarily serve homeowners throughout the Poconos, including Carbon County and Monroe County. Most of our projects are within about a 30–45 minute drive, where we can stay efficient and deliver the level of service we’re known for.
We also take on select projects in parts of the Lehigh Valley depending on the scope and fit.

Will you be on the job site or do you use subcontractors?

Brandon is involved in every project. We do use trusted subcontractors for specific scopes of work, but the oversight and accountability stays with us from start to finish.

Do you offer any warranties or guarantees on your work?

We stand behind our work. Warranty terms vary by project and material, and we walk every client through the specifics before the project closes out. If something isn't right, we make it right.
